Are fixed rate credit cards a thing of the past?

If searching for credit card offers in the recent past, you likely came across a variety of both variable-APR and fixed-APR card offers. Now, however, fixed APR offers are becoming harder to find.

In fact, not only are fixed rate credit card offers for potential new cardholders becoming harder to find, but some who already have fixed-rate credit cards are seeing their APRs changed variable rates.

So does this mean an end to fixed APR credit card? Time will tell, but for now these types of offers become thin. Be sure to look out for changes to your current credit cards, as well, if you own any cards of the fixed-rate variety.
