Six reasons to use automatic payments

From loan payments to insurance premiums to telephone bills – there are so many places to take advantage of automatic payment plans. If you haven’t already signed up for automatic payments for regular monthly bills, here are six reasons you should:

1. Saves time writing out checks or paying online

2. Saves several dollars in postage every month

3. Saves late fees when you forget to make payments

4. Protects your credit score by being on time, every time

5. Your insurance company may give credits for automatic payments

6. Saves excess waste in your garbage can and precious natural resources

Living paycheck to paycheck is a valid reason for retaining control over when you pay your bills. Consider signing up for automatic payments for at least a few of your bills, especially those that incur late fees if you are only one day late.
