Ask about multiple policy discounts

Saving money on your insurance costs could be as simple as asking a question. Well, to be fair, simply asking any question will not automatically save you money but asking the right question could get the money-saving process started.

Some insurance companies that offer various forms of insurance (i.e. auto, home and/or life) offer multiple policy discounts. These companies will give you a discount for choosing them for multiple insurance needs.

So, for example, if you have an auto insurance policy with one company and a homeowners insurance policy with another, simply switching both of these policies to one company could potentially get you a sizeable discount.

It can’t hurt to ask, right?
