Uses for dial-up Internet

Don’t expect to see a display of dial-up Internet providers at your next museum visit just yet. While it does seem like a dial-up ISP display belongs next to the first wheel or perhaps some caveman tools, there are still – believe it or not – uses for this type of ISP.
Possible uses for dial-up Internet:
- Still a decent, low-cost option for rare users of the Internet.
- A cost-effective backup option for small businesses in case of a broadband interruption.
- A much cheaper option than satellite Internet service for those areas (usually rural) where cable and DSL are still not available.
As you can see, dial-up Internet can still be a decent option in certain circumstances. Do you have a use for it?
