PIP
Posted in: Insurance
define: PIP
Personal Injury Protection (PIP) covers the medical expenses related to injuries for covered persons involved in an auto accident, plus any funeral expenses, lost wages, and replacement services (like babysitting when a stay-at-home mother is injured or killed). If the insured is in an accident where the other driver is at fault, PIP may still make payments even if the insured receives benefits from the at-fault driver’s insurance company.
