Due Date
define: Due Date
The calendar date specified in the credit card statement as the day that the bill is due to be paid. Most credit issuers require the payment to arrive and be posted on that date. Bills sent by postal mail and postmarked with that date, but arriving after the date, will be considered late. Paying bills online may require a few days for processing. Cardholders should fully understand the requirements of the issuing credit company in order to avoid penalties and fees. Some cardholders offer a grace period after the due date.
