Why shoud I stay away from shared web hosting?

Why not shared hosting?

You should stay away from shared hosting plans if you have a website that you expect to have a lot of traffic or that will grow quickly, or if you have a site that will require specialized software.

In these situations, a shared hosting plan is not ideal, and many hosting providers will not allow you to sign up for one. This is because it will cost them money in the long run because they will have to upgrade the shared hardware to support your increased usage needs without providing any additional benefits to the other clients on the shared server.

You should also stay away from shared hosting if you have large amounts of data that will be stored and frequently accessed on the server, since the data limitations with most shared plans will prevent this from being feasible.

Shared hosting is an extrememly affordable and useful hosting option for many individuals and businesses. However, any website that is large, includes a significant amount of data and/or is frequently visited should seek more advanced hosting options.
