Linux, as popular as it is, is still not very intuitive to set up. Over the years, as it has garnered more and more mainstream attention, linux has become easier to setup, but is not at the level of ease as other operating systems.

Setting up linux to be a webserver can be tricky, especially since configuring the firewall that is built in is oftentimes a command line procedure, which can scare many people away from it altogether. However, there are a lot of resources available on the internet for those who are interested and persistant enough to pursue it.
