How can I contact the credit bureaus?

Contacting the credit reporting agencies

There are a number of reasons why you may need to contact one or all of the credit bureaus. Here is how:

Credit bureau contact information

  • Equifax: 1-800-685-1111
  • Experian: 1-888-397-3742
  • TransUnion: 1-800-888-4213

Whether you are contacting a bureau to dispute an item that is present in your credit report, place a fraud alert on your credit due to suspicious activity or for another reason, the above numbers are a good place to start.
