What makes a gas rebate card better than the rest?

Best gas rebate credit card offers

There are plenty of different options for gasoline rewards cards, but the very best gas rebate credit cards are those that offer more than just a rebate at the end of a billing cycle.

Comparing the various gas reward cards offered through many different companies will reveal a truth: Some are great cards, and some are not so great. The best offers are those which have the total package: A low interest rate, no annual fee, and a generous rewards program.

If you are paying a high interest rate on a gas rewards card then it probably isn’t worth it to begin with; the rewards you receive may not even justify the money you pay out in interest charges.

The same holds true for annual fees and other fees attached to the card. You may have a great interest rate and decent gas rewards, but if you are paying fee after fee then you simply aren’t getting your money’s worth.

Some credit cards that fall into the “gas rebate credit card” category are dedicated gas cards, while other cards in this category are certain cash back credit cards that give a larger percentage of cash back on gas purchases made with the card.

Sometimes, the “best” gas rebate credit card can turn out to be a cash back card that gives a generous rebate on gas purchases while also offering a more flexible overall reward program. These types of cards can end up prodcuing larger reabtes for cardholders than other one-dimensional alternatives.

A low interest rate and low fees can sometimes make up for a mediocre rewards program, but with so many available gas rewards programs out there it doesn’t make sense to settle for a less-than-spectacular card.
