How can I earn the highest rebates with my gas credit card?

Increase your rebates

In order to earn the highest rewards from gasoline rebate credit cards you should make sure that you fully understand the terms and conditions of the account.

If you take the time to read all the accompanying information which arrives in the mail with your new gas card, you may find that there are circumstances that will allow you to build up rewards faster than you expected.

Some cards come with an introductory offer that doubles or triples your rebates for a specific number of months, so if you know how long those terms are you can take full advantage of that time and maximize your rebates. Other gas cards will award higher rebates for specific purchases.

For example, using your credit card at a gas station to purchase fuel might give you a five percent rebate, whereas using your credit card at the theater to pay for movie tickets may only result in a one percent rebate.

If you understand the circumstances which will allow for the highest rebates then you can plan on using your gas rebate card in those instances and get a larger rebate than you would otherwise.

If you have the card in your wallet, you may as well let it work to your advantage.
