What do lenders ask for on instant-decision credit card applications?
About instant decision applications
Credit card applications are rarely complicated because the vast majority of the information obtained to render a credit decision is pulled from the applicant’s credit reports.
Sometimes an instant approval credit card application can be as simple as supplying the lender with your name, address, social security number, employment history, and your approximate monthly or annual income. The rest of the information the lender needs can be taken directly from your credit report.
Since the lender has almost instantaneous access to your credit score, this makes it possible for automated lending systems to instantly approve a credit card application. This means that you can fill out an application online and then within a minute or two have an approval.
Denials can come just as quickly too, incidentally, and sometimes the lender will need more time to come to a final decision.
If you have good credit, a substantial income, and steady employment, then filling out an application and receiving an approval instantly should not be difficult at all.
